This unit will follow Unit 4 in the Year 2 curriculum.
Mid-Unit assessment: Students will write a call-to-action research paper. Modifications to this project will help align it to the senior research paper.
End-of-Unit assessment: Students will turn their paper into a speech and present their call to action to the class.
End-of-Unit assessment 2: Students will develop a communication plan and portfolio for their call to action. Their portfolio will reflect the learning throughout the year, as they develop communication pieces that inform, persuade, and reflect the technology age (e.g., website, blog, social media, etc.).
